Le Monastère des Augustines is a non-profit organization whose activities support its social mission. Created according to the values and wishes of the Augustinian Sisters, this social mission consists in making the Augustinian Sisters’ heritage accessible to the entire population, as well as providing support and respite to those who care for others.

Caregivers, companions, as well as healthcare and social service workers and volunteers can benefit from accommodations and renewal activity programs designed especially for them, administered in cooperation with the Fiducie du patrimoine culturel des Augustines.

An innovative offering for natural caregivers

Since 2015, Le Monastère des Augustines has welcomed caregivers of elderly people and adults, as well as parents of sick or handicapped children who need to catch their breath and replenish their energy. Not only does it offer caregivers a well-needed break, the social innovation-based initiative also seeks to recognize their contribution to Quebec society.

The stays include healthy meals, movement and renewal activities, and guidance and support activities designed to break the isolation often felt by caregivers.
